Acceptable use policy
Use Vettika to run fair, lawful interviews with people who know what they're taking part in, and leave the decision to a person.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses Vettika: customers, their team members and candidates. It is part of our terms of service.
Fair and lawful hiring
Don't use the service to:
- Break any law, including hiring, employment, discrimination, AI and privacy laws.
- Discriminate against anyone, or screen people out because of a protected characteristic.
- Ask questions that push candidates to reveal protected or sensitive details, such as health, religion, pregnancy or immigration status, unless the law clearly allows it.
- Interview people without their knowledge, or hide that an AI is asking the questions and assessing the answers.
- Make a hiring decision from a score alone, or set up a process that rejects people with no person involved.
- Advertise or interview for jobs that don't exist, or collect candidates' data for any purpose other than hiring.
- Interview people under 18, unless the hiring company lawfully says otherwise.
Places with specific rules
Some places have rules for automated hiring tools. Don't use the service where a law requires an audit, a notice or another step until you've done it. Our AI transparency page covers New York City and the EU, and it isn't a complete list.
Protecting the service
Don't:
- Attack, probe or overload the service, or try to get around its limits or billing.
- Get into another workspace, or into data you have no right to see.
- Copy, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Upload malware or anything meant to harm the service or its users.
- Resell or share access in a way our terms don't allow.
Honest interviews
If you're a candidate, don't:
- Pretend to be someone else, or have someone else take the interview for you.
- Try to trick or instruct the scoring, for example by telling the AI what score to give.
- Share your private interview link with anyone.
What we do about misuse
If we see or are told about misuse, we may look into it, remove access, suspend a workspace or close it. We may also report it where the law requires. Our terms of service explain how suspension works.
Report a problem
If you think someone is misusing Vettika, email support@vettika.com. If you're a candidate and worried about a specific interview, you can also contact the company that interviewed you.
