Vettika

First-round AI interviews for startups

Vettika gives a startup without a recruiter a consistent first round: paste your job description, share one link, and read ranked reports before you speak to anyone.

Hiring when nobody's job is hiring

At a small company, the person screening candidates is usually a founder or an engineering lead with a full day of other work. Applications pile up. Calls get squeezed between meetings. The questions change from one call to the next, because nobody had time to write them down.

That costs you twice. You lose focus, and you end up comparing candidates on how you felt that afternoon.

A first round you can set up today

You don't need a hiring process to start. You need a job description.

  • Paste the job description, and AI drafts questions and a rubric.
  • Edit the questions. You know what this role really needs.
  • Take a practice run to hear what candidates will hear.
  • Share one link with your applicants.
  • Read the ranked reports and decide who you want to meet.

What your candidates experience

Good candidates have choices, so the first step matters. They are told it's AI before they start, and they must consent. They need no account or app. It's a voice call in the browser, and they can switch to typing at any point. If they drop off, they can pick up at the right question.

Some people would rather talk to a founder. A short personal note in your invitation helps, and so does a human conversation straight after the first round.

Pay for what you use

A startup might hire once and then not again for a while, so there's no subscription. Your free workspace starts with 10 minutes, enough to run one real interview. After that you buy prepaid minutes when you have a role to fill. Minutes are held when an interview starts, and the unused ones go back to your balance.

When it isn't the right tool

If you have only a few applicants, call them. A first conversation with a founder can be your best recruiting tool, and Vettika can't sell your company. It also won't ask follow-up questions, so it's a poor fit if you want to explore an unusual background. It works in English only, and it doesn't connect to your calendar or ATS.

Use it when volume is the problem and your attention is the scarce thing.
