How can we help?
For candidates
Am I talking to a real person?
No. The interviewer is an AI, and you're told so before you start. It reads the hiring team's questions. You need to consent before the interview begins.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Open the link in a browser, on any device.
Can I type instead of speaking?
Yes. You can switch to typing at any point during the interview.
Is the interview recorded?
We keep the transcript, not a recording. There is no video.
Does the AI decide if I get the job?
No. AI scores the transcript, and people at the company make every decision.
Can I take the interview again?
There is one attempt per email address per interview. If you stopped partway, you can resume instead of starting again.
Setting up an interview
How do I create an interview?
Paste a job description. AI drafts questions and a rubric, and you edit the questions. If AI drafting isn't available, you get a plain template and we tell you it's a template.
Can I try it before candidates do?
Yes. Take a practice run first. It uses no minutes. You get 5 practice runs a day, with up to 5 minutes of voice in each.
How do candidates get in?
Share one link. Candidates open it in a browser and take the interview when it suits them. There's no calendar scheduling.
Does the AI ask follow-up questions?
No. It speaks your scripted questions, and every candidate gets the same ones. It uses one fixed prompt if an answer is thin and one if there is silence.
Which languages can interviews run in?
English only today.
Does it connect to my ATS?
Not today. There are no ATS integrations, API or webhooks.
Reports and decisions
What's in a report?
The transcript, an overall score out of 100, a score from 1 to 5 for each rubric criterion, and quotes from the candidate as evidence.
How do you know the quotes are real?
Each quote is checked against what the candidate said. Any quote we can't verify is dropped.
What does "not enough to assess" mean?
The candidate said too little to score fairly. It isn't a low score. Read the transcript and decide what to do next.
What if scoring fails?
The transcript is safe. Open the report and score it again.
How are candidates ranked?
On the same rubric, so you're comparing like with like. A score can be wrong, so read the transcript too.
Who makes the decision?
People on your team. You choose to move someone forward or pass, and you can undo either. The AI never decides.
Minutes and billing
How does pricing work?
You buy prepaid minutes for your workspace, with no subscription. A free workspace starts with 10 minutes.
What is a hold?
When an interview starts, we hold 2 minutes per question, or whatever is left if that's less. Only used minutes are charged, and the rest return to your balance. An interview can't start if your balance is too low.
How are minutes counted?
Voice time rounds up to the next whole minute. Typed interviews count elapsed time, rounded up the same way, to a limit of 2 minutes per question.
What if an interview goes wrong?
If an interview fails, or a fault on our side stops it being scored, it costs nothing. An interview where the candidate said too little, shown as not enough to assess, is charged for the time used.
What if a candidate never finishes?
They can resume for 48 hours through a link we email them. After that the interview closes and its hold returns to your balance.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds cover unspent balance only.
Microphone and connection trouble
My browser didn't ask for the microphone.
Check the site permissions, usually next to the address bar, and allow the microphone. Then reload the page. You can also switch to typing.
The interviewer can't hear me.
Check that your browser is using the right microphone and that it isn't muted. Close other apps that may be using it. If that doesn't help, switch to typing.
I can't hear the interviewer.
Check your volume and your speaker or headphone choice, then reload the page. You can also switch to typing.
My call dropped.
Open your link again and you'll pick up at the right question. The link emailed to you works for 48 hours.
It keeps mishearing me.
Find a quiet spot if you can, and try headphones with a microphone. Speech-to-text can make mistakes, so switch to typing if you'd prefer.
