Candidate notice
An AI interviewer asks you set questions, an AI scores the transcript against the hiring team's rubric, and people at the company make every decision.
Who's involved
A company invited you to an interview and uses Vettika to run it. That company decides how your data is used, and we process it for them.
What happens
Here's how an interview works:
- You give your name and email address, and agree to the notice on screen.
- An AI interviewer asks the company's questions out loud. The questions are scripted, so every candidate for this role gets the same ones.
- You answer by voice. You can type your answers instead at any point.
- Your voice is turned into text as you speak.
- When you finish, an AI scores the transcript against the hiring team's rubric.
- The hiring team sees the transcript, the score and the quotes behind it.
What we keep
We keep:
- Your name and email address.
- What you said or typed, as a transcript.
- The time you gave consent.
What we don't keep
We don't keep a recording of your voice. There's no video.
Who decides
People at the company make every decision. The AI does not.
A score can be wrong. Speech-to-text can mishear words, especially with an accent or background noise. If you think something went wrong, or you'd like a person to review your outcome, ask the company that interviewed you.
One attempt
You get one attempt per email address per interview. If you don't finish, or your call drops, you can resume for 48 hours through a link we email you. After that, the interview closes.
If you need something different
You can type at any point if speaking doesn't work for you. If you need another adjustment, or you'd rather not use AI, ask the company that invited you. It decides what it can offer.
How long your data stays
Your interview data stays until the hiring team or the company asks us to delete it. To have it removed, contact the company that interviewed you. You can also email us and we'll pass your request on.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and object to how it's used. The company that interviewed you is the right place to start.
Who else handles your data
A small group of vendors help us run the interview. They carry the call, turn speech into text and back, score the transcript, store the data and send email. Our subprocessors page lists them. Marketing analytics don't run on candidate pages.
Age
You need to be 18 or older, unless the hiring company lawfully says otherwise.
Questions
Ask the company that invited you, or email support@vettika.com. Our privacy policy and AI transparency page have more detail.
