Ask for another way
You can type instead of speaking at any point, and if you need a different adjustment or a first round without AI, ask the company that invited you, which decides what it can offer.
You can always type
In every interview you can switch from speaking to typing at any point, and back. The questions and the rubric are the same either way. You don't need to ask anyone first.
Asking for an adjustment or a route without AI
The company that invited you runs its hiring and decides what it offers. Vettika runs the interview for them. So the request goes to them:
- Contact the company before you start. Their name is on your interview link page.
- Say what you need, for example more time, a different format, a call with a person, or a first round without AI. You don't have to give a medical or any other reason, although some adjustments are easier to arrange if you explain.
- Keep a copy of what you sent.
If you can't reach them
Email support@vettika.com with the job title and the company's name, or the link you were sent. We'll pass your request to the hiring team. We can't decide on it ourselves, and we can't promise the company will say yes.
What the law may give you
Depending on where you and the job are, the law may give you rights here. Disability and equality laws can require reasonable adjustments. In New York City, a hiring company using a tool covered by Local Law 144 must tell you how to ask for an alternative selection process or an accommodation. Data protection laws, such as the GDPR, can give you the right to human involvement in a decision that significantly affects you.
Our AI hiring laws page has more detail. It isn't legal advice.
If you've already taken the interview
A person at the company makes the decision, and a score can be wrong. If something went badly, for example the speech-to-text misheard you, ask the company for a person to review your outcome. You can also ask them to delete your data.
